For fifty years, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic Symphony Show House has been a highly anticipated interior design event, showcasing gorgeous home furnishings and décor. This May, Bob Mills Furniture was honored to design two rooms in this year’s Show House.

The Bedroom
The bedroom in the Symphony Show House stands out. The vision for the space was to create a serene and stylish ambiance, achieved through Arte’ Wall Coverings that adorn the ceiling with an elegant silver sheen and the incorporation of the latest lavender color on the walls. The beauty is accentuated with the eye-catching Oushak rug from India.
The tall Vanguard crème and light wood headboard stands out as the focal point of the space, drawing your eye to two custom pillows that pull the whole space together. The seating area is accentuated with custom drapes and stunning CR Laine Swivel chairs. To add a touch of sophistication and artistic flair, the room showcases John Richard artwork along with original pieces. This beautifully designed bedroom offers a tranquil retreat with its thoughtful combination of elements, showcasing the talents of Tuesday Fay and Halah Songer.
Embracing Comfort
The Bob Mills Furniture Design Team’s expertise shines in the Symphony Show House’s second living space, the Guest House, which exudes warmth and comfort. The room boasts a neutral palette, complemented by rich velvet seating. The focal point of the space is a gorgeous handmade rug from India, anchoring the room and infusing it with character. Fluffy white and velvet rust-colored pillows provide additional texture that seamlessly ties into the overall design. The unique accessories contribute to the beauty of the room, along with the comfortable, yet functional, swivel chairs in the conversation nook that can easily turn to enjoy the view of the pool.
Supporting the Community Through Education
The Symphony Show House is more than just a home tour. It serves as a vital source of charitable fundraising for the OKC Philharmonic. The Oklahoma City Philharmonic invests in the local community by providing education programs to schools across the OKC Metro. Thanks to the support generated by the Symphony Show House, over 7,000 students are given the opportunity to attend the Youth Concert Series each year. This gives children the opportunity to enjoy orchestral music and allows the OKC Philharmonic to nurture a lifelong appreciation for the arts throughout the OKC Metro.
