At age 23, Bob Mills was newly graduated from college and felt stuck in a job as a typist. He took a chance on opening his first furniture store in Oklahoma City. As the business grew, Bob Mills Furniture moved to a larger location in the late 1980s. The 110,000 square foot flagship is still operating today and houses the corporate offices. The success of our original Oklahoma City location led to expansion to nine other stores. One more in Oklahoma, located in Tulsa, as well as seven Texas locations: Amarillo, Lubbock, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Waco, and San Antonio. In recent years, we have even expanded into Kansas with our newest store in Wichita.
