At Bob Mills Furniture, one of our core values is "Everyone is Family". This applies to how we treat our customers and our fellow employees within the company. We also feel that it is important to live by this credo as members of the communities where we live and work. One of the many community efforts we have been proud to support is the Goodwill Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program.
Homelessness is a common struggle in America. The Goodwill Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) assists in providing supportive services to very low-income Veteran families living in or transitioning to permanent housing. The focus is to stabilize housing for veterans that are either homeless or at risk for being homeless.
The Supportive Services for Veteran Families program provides relief and stability for housing when times get tough. Sometimes, the home is just the start. To keep the bedrooms from being empty, Bob Mills has provided Twin, Full, and Queen size mattresses, box springs, bedframes and bedding (sheets, comforters, pillows etc.) for the organization to show support for our veteran soldiers.
Bob Mills Furniture is a financial supporter of the Boys & Girls Club, and our employees volunteer as mentors, and acting as role models for this young generation.
Each year, Bob Mills employees participate in OU Medicine's Corporate Challenge to raise money for the UCO Endeavor Games.
Bob Mills employees volunteer at the Food Bank by boxing, weighing, and packaging food items for those in need.
Bob Mills Furniture donated furniture to the SeeWorth Foundation for their new school campus so that they may have the very best resources to succeed!
